  • maintain appropriate boundaries

  • work within their skills, training and experience

Safeguarding and Participant Safety

Anyone delivering or supporting ImPerfect activities must remain alert to safeguarding or wellbeing concerns and follow ImPerfect’s safeguarding procedures where needed.

If there is an immediate risk of harm to a participant or another person, appropriate action may be taken, including contacting emergency services or relevant safeguarding support.

ImPerfect workshops, tools and activities are designed to support wellbeing education, reflection, personal development and connection. They are not a substitute for therapy, counselling, medical advice or crisis support.

Professional Boundaries

Facilitators and representatives of ImPerfect must maintain clear and appropriate boundaries with participants.

They must not use their position to exploit, pressure, manipulate or develop inappropriate relationships with participants.

Participants should feel safe, respected and able to engage without pressure to share anything personal.

Confidentiality

ImPerfect expects all facilitators and representatives to respect participant confidentiality and handle personal information responsibly.

However, confidentiality cannot be guaranteed where there is a serious concern about someone’s safety or the safety of another person. In these situations, information may need to be shared with appropriate services or professionals.

Inclusion and Respect

ImPerfect values respect, inclusivity, support and empathy.

We aim to create spaces where people feel welcomed, heard and valued. We do not tolerate discrimination, harassment, bullying, abuse or behaviour that undermines the safety or dignity of others.

Online and Social Media Conduct

Anyone representing ImPerfect online is expected to communicate respectfully and professionally.

Participant information, personal stories or private details must not be shared without appropriate permission or lawful reason.
